?:abstract
  • Inequality is a common topic in Canadian public discourse. Indeed, it is a significant part of public discourse in many countries. It is also a concept that is subject to a wide variety of definitions, and it has been the subject of academic and policy debate for a considerable period of time. However, there has only been limited consideration of its various operating meanings among the public. The primary purpose of this paper is to explore the structure of inequality in the perceptions of Canadians and to relate this to some general themes in institutional policy discourse on inequality.
