?:abstract
  • The article pursues further analysis on the distribution and composition of different sources of income, both individual and household, and its relationship with the social structure, to explain different modalities of production of welfare from a comparative perspective. We analyse the cases of the United Kingdom, Spain and Argentina by quantitative techniques, based on microdata from household surveys. We will discuss the forms of articulation between different institutions involves in the provision of welfare by providing empirical evidence that shows the greater importance of labour income for working classes in Latin American compared to the European cases.
