  • The wife of the CEO of Pfizer has died of complications from the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. This is not true. She is alive and well. Screenshots of an article being shared on Facebook claim that the wife of the CEO of Pfizer has died of complications from the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. This is not true. A spokesperson for Pfizer told the Associated Press that Myriam Bourla, the wife of Albert Bourla, was alive and well. The screenshot claims that Ms Bourla died on the morning of 10 November—yet Mr Bourla shared a photograph of her at an awards ceremony in the evening of that day, where he received an award. We’ve written before about how Mr Bourla has been a subject of misinformation during the pandemic. This article is part of our work fact checking potentially false pictures, videos and stories on Facebook. You can read more about this—and find out how to report Facebook content—here. For the purposes of that scheme, we’ve rated this claim as false because Mrs Bourla is alive. (en)
