A photo shared on Facebook allegedly shows an advertisement from Tesla stating purchasers of the Cybertruck would receive a free Twitter Blue check mark. Verdict: False This image is digitally fabricated. Check Your Fact found no evidence for this claim via Tesla’s website or verified social media accounts. Fact Check: Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Twitter, downsized Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters from six floors to two after missing rent payments, according to the New York Post . Twitter faces a lawsuit seeking $136,260 in unpaid rent for a separate office building in San Francisco, Fox Business reports. The Facebook post claims Cybertrucks come with a verified blue check mark for Twitter. The graphic shows an image of the Cybertruck model along with its logo. Better utility than a truck with more performance than a sports car, the graphic’s text reads. Now with free lifetime Twitter Blue check. This image is digitally altered. The Cybertruck website shows the same graphic seen in the Facebook image, but does not claim a free Twitter Blue check mark comes with purchase of the model. There are no credible news reports detailing such a promotion. Likewise, Check Your Fact found no mention of it on any of Tesla’s verified Twitter or Instagram accounts.
