A photo showing an impressive skyscraper has been shared on Facebook, with a caption that claims it is a part of Kenya the media will never show you. The building looks like a ship floating at the top of three towers. But is this actually in Kenya? We checked. ‘Architectural marvel’, hotel in Singapore A Google reverse image search shows that the building is called the Marina Bay Sands and is in Singapore, in southeast Asia. According to the building’s website , this architectural marvel is popular for its infinity swimming pool on the 57 th floor, and is surrounded by 12,000 square metres of parkland. The building includes a hotel, restaurants, bars, 250 trees and an observation deck, from which visitors can view the city skyline. According to US magazine Forbes , Marina Bay Sands was the hotel in the world most often posted about on Instagram in 2017. The Marina Bay Sands opened in 2010 and was designed by architect Moshe Safdie , who was inspired by a deck of cards. It is not in Kenya. – Grace Gichuhi
