Example: [Collected via e-mail, June 2007] They let anyone drive........According to the person who sent this, the driver has only been in Canada a few months. He had missed his turn by Brandon Mb. And figured he could go over the hill and continue on the road. he didn't know there were rail tracks on top of the grade..... The truck owner figures he had to hit the angle at over 55 miles an hour in order to make the top. If you look close at some of the pictures you will see that it is only when the large reefer trailer pinched the rear tires of the truck, that the truck stopped.....Origins: As far as we've been able to determine, the above-displayed pictures are indeed photographs of a truck that became stuck on railroads in the Brandon, Manitoba, area in March 2007. However, we haven't yet been able to ascertain the cause of the accident: whether it was the proffered explanation (i.e., that a driver unfamiliar with the area missed his turn and tried to cut across a grade, unaware of the presence of railroad tracks) or some other circumstance (such as skidding on ice or falling asleep at the wheel) that caused the driver to lose control of his rig and sent it hurtling off the roadway until it was stopped by the grade and tracks.
