  • A fake advert circulating on social media claims to offer jobs at Coca-Cola Kenya. Headed Job Vacancies 2019, it says that the company has openings for truck drivers, security officers, clerks, trainers, social media content creators and more. The advert has been shared on a few Kenyan Facebook groups. It was even reposted by a Kenyan politician, who encouraged his followers to apply. He has since deleted the post and apologised . In April 2019 Africa Check debunked an earlier fake ad for jobs at Coca-Cola Kenya. ‘Contact authorities or police’ Coca-Cola Beverages Africa has issued a statement on its official Facebook and Twitter pages , warning that the ad is fake. Be informed that our name and trademarks are being used deceptively in these communications, it said . If you have already responded to these persons via telephone calls, emails or letters, we recommend that you immediately discontinue all communications with them and contact your local authorities or police.
