  • A web page posted on Facebook claims to offer thousands of jobs at Coca-Cola in Kenya. It says the company is recruiting 1,000 employees in each of the country’s 47 counties. But there’s a catch. Job seekers have to pay a registration fee of KSh350 to apply. The website includes an application form where applicants are required to enter an M-Pesa mobile money transfer transaction code. ‘Fake job website’ The Kenya office of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa has warned people not to fall for the advert. Kindly be advised this is a fake job website. #FakeJobAlert. Be informed that our name and trademarks are being used deceptively in these communications, the company posted on its Facebook page . If you have already responded to these persons via telephone calls, email or letters, we recommend that you immediately discontinue all communications with them and contact your local authorities or police. Please note that genuine Coca-Cola vacancies are advertised through mass media e.g. newspapers and on our official website via the link http://www.thecoca-colacompany.com/careers/ and the application procedure usually spelt therein. – Dancan Bwire (en)
