Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga now demands a refund of Ksh. 400,000 She gave to Mama Ida Odinga at a function held at Asumbi TTI for failing to endorse her as ODM party preferred candidate in upcoming nominations for Homa Bay Gubernatorial race, reads a screenshot of what seems to be a tweet by the Kenyan news site Tuko , circulating on Facebook in March 2021. Wanga represents Homa Bay county in the national assembly. Ida Odinga is the wife of Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga . Asumbi TTI is the St Francis Technical Training Institute Asumbi . The ODM is the Orange Democratic Movement , which Raila Odinga leads. The screenshot, which includes a photo of Ida Odinga and Wanga in conversation, was also posted here , here , here and here . Wanga is seeking to vie for the Homa Bay county governorship in the 9 August elections on the ODM ticket. But did Tuko really tweet this? We checked. ‘Committed to fighting misinformation’ We searched Wanga’s Twitter account and Facebook page but found no evidence that she made the demand reported in the screenshot.
