Kagwe has served in the Kenyan cabinet before, as minister of information. He was also a senator for Nyeri county from 2013 to 2017. But the post has been flagged as potentially false . Has Kenyatta nominated Kagwe as minister of health? Cabinet reshuffle On 14 January 2020, Kenyatta announced that he was reorganising his government. He said Kagwe was his nominee for cabinet secretary of health. Kagwe’s name was then presented to the national assembly . He was reportedly vetted by the body on 20 February, and his nomination approved. The claim is correct. – Grace Gichuhi (en)
