  • A clip has been viewed millions of times on Facebook, YouTube and TikTok alongside a claim that it shows Indonesian troops departing for Palestine. The claim is false: the video actually shows Indonesian troops arriving at an airport in Jakarta in January 2021, after completing a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon. The clip was posted on May 15, 2021, here on TikTok, where it has been viewed more than 1.8 million times. The Indonesian-language text superimposed on the clip reads: Best of luck in your fight the nation’s heroes, may the Almighty God protect you Moments of the departure of Indonesian troops to Palestine.
