While Greene did not say those exact words, she made a similar remark during a May 7 America First rally she held with Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz in Florida. While discussing the Green New Deal proposal, a congressional resolution that lays out a grand plan for tackling climate change, she made the following statement: Electric vehicles are cool. I like them and I think that’s awesome technology, and we want to keep our Earth clean and we want the most beautiful Earth in the whole world. But do we want to destroy the oil and coal industry?
