On Jan. 8, 2020, Business Standard News published an article positing that White House spiritual adviser Paula White said that God showed her a vision of U.S. President Donald Trump: This item was not a factual recounting of real-life events. The article originated with a website that describes its output as being humorous or satirical in nature, as follows: While Business Standard News (or 'BS News,' as some refer to it, hint hint) carries a disclaimer labeling its content as satirical, this fake quote from White was later spread on Facebook in the form of an image without any indication that the quote was fabricated: For background, here is why we sometimes write about satire/humor.
