  • Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to express his condolences about the death of Queen Elizabeth II, but he didn’t claim that the queen had secretly knighted him, as an image circulating online suggests. I never told anybody but she knighted me in private, reads the text in what appears to be a screenshot of a Truth Social post from @realDonaldTrump. Instagram posts sharing the image were flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. It’s not in his Truth Social feed , and although we found a post from another user claiming that Trump shared that message, there’s nothing to corroborate that. RELATED VIDEO A Trump spokesperson told The Associated Press that the image isn’t an authentic screenshot of a Trump post. Trump did once claim that a 2019 visit he took to the United Kingdom was the most fun the queen had had in 25 years, but he didn’t say what the post claims.
