  • A post shared on Instagram purports President Joe Biden announced a plan to cheat in the midterm elections, stating he asked Americans to be patient for all ballots to be counted. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Cody (@3daysrisenpatriot) Verdict: Misleading The claims stems from a speech given by Biden on Nov. 2 and while he asked voters to exercise patience for potential delays in counting, he did not mention anything about a plot to rig the election. Fact Check: Election officials are concerned about delays in processing votes, claiming that issues in counting and potential slow releases of vote tabulations would fuel election fraud claims, according to The Washington Post . A Colorado voter was arrested Thursday on suspicion of tampering with voting machines in June, The Associated Press reported. The post claims Biden revealed a plan from Democrats that would lead to election fraud. The image features Biden speaking on a podium with a chyron from MSNBC and text below. Joe Biden announced to the world tonight that they are going to cheat by dumping ballots, the post reads. Patriots, they are counting on We the People to NOT show up so they can dump ballots. The alleged quote is taken out of context. Biden’s speech about election delays stems from a Nov. 2 speech that took place in Columbus, Ohio. In the speech, Biden calls for the public to be patient while waiting for election results saying. It takes time to count all legitimate ballots in a legal and orderly manner, Biden said , also advising citizens to be patient as that’s how this is supposed to work. The speech does not mention a democratic plot to steal the election. There are no credible news reports suggesting Biden has a plan to dump ballots.
