  • Jeremy Corbyn wore a poppy pin that said: lets forget. This is incorrect. An image of Mr Corbyn at PMQs has been edited to include said poppy. An image of Jeremy Corbyn apparently wearing a poppy pin with the words lets forget has been shared thousands of times on Facebook and Twitter. However, this is an edited image. The original image is from Prime Minister’s Questions on 16 March 2016—you can see in this footage that the clothing of those sat behind Mr Corbyn matches that from the image. Mr Corbyn was not wearing a poppy—it has been added to the image. We could not find any sort of lets forget pin available for sale. This article is part of our work fact checking potentially false pictures, videos and stories on Facebook. You can read more about this—and find out how to report Facebook content—here. For the purposes of that scheme, we’ve rated this claim as false as the image of Mr Corbyn has been edited. (en)
