One of the pages says people can win cars, scholarships, cash and more if they Use the SEND MESSAGE button below to chat me up. The page is called Dangote Youth Empowerment and was created as recently as 27 October 2019. Another page, Dangote Foundation Giveaway , asks people to send their bank details to win 500,000 naira to start a business. The page was created on 29 October 2019. Neither of the pages has the blue tick next to their name to show that they are true, verified Facebook pages . A third fake Dangote Facebook page has been deleted. ‘Don’t get scammed’ A post on the verified Dangote Industries Facebook page warns users about the scams. Don't get scammed in the #DangoteBagofGoodies promo, it says . All you need to do is scratch the card, reveal your prize and redeem it at any of our redemption centers. You do not need to pay anyone or know anyone to win. You buy a bag of Dangote cement, open the bag, get the card, scratch it, reveal and redeem your prize. Please be informed and stay alert to dissuade imposters. The post asks people to visit the Bag of Goodies website for more information. – Jennifer Ojugbeli (en)
