  • A graphic on the scam Facebook page Jobs learnership and bursary is offering jobs at South African branches of the supermarket chain OK Foods . But the post is fake. The graphic’s caption says Ok store is looking for Students and Unemployed people for January Jobs. It looks like an advert and lists Available Fields next to a photo of a woman in an OK-branded uniform. Hints post is bogus A number of jobs previously posted on the Jobs learnership and bursary Facebook group have been found to be fake. None of the links in the caption to the graphic lead to the official OK Foods website. Instead, the links go to an unprofessional-looking website titled Apply Online Jobs. The website lists a number of vacancies, but no jobs at OK supermarkets. OK ‘does not advertise job vacancies on social media’ Africa Check asked Yvette Boshoff , personal assistant to the chief executive of the OK Franchise Division , about the post. She dismissed it. I am not sure who would post this, but the OK Franchise Division does not advertise job vacancies on social media, Boshoff said. There are no job ads on OK Food’s official Twitter and Facebook pages. The ad posted by the Jobs learnership and bursary Facebook page is just another scam. – Butchie Seroto (en)
