  • A graphic posted on Facebook claims Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), a subsidiary of East African Breweries Limited (EABL), is offering entry level jobs. First posted on 8 September 2019, the advert says KBL has 4,764 vacancies available in 16 categories. These include 2,510 positions for data entry clerks, 1,257 for truck loaders, 1,056 for research assistants, and more. The advert was reposted on 9 September , 10 September and 11 September . It gives two email addresses where job-seekers can send their applications. Clues ad is fake But none of the advertised jobs appear in the career section of the EABL website, or on Kenya Breweries’ official Facebook and Twitter pages. We currently do not have any positions open, reads a message on the website . And neither of the email addresses in the job advert appear on the website. ‘Report scam to authorities’ Kenya Breweries has posted a warning on Facebook and Twitter that the ad is recruitment scam, cautioning job-seekers not to fall for it. Beware of Recruitment Scam in this Poster. Kindly note KBL/EABL would never charge job applicants any fee in the process of recruitment, the warning reads . We would like to warn perpetrators of this and related scams against such activity. If you are a victim of this scam, kindly report the matter to relevant authorities near you.
