A poster advertising vacancies at Kenyan milk firm Brookside Dairy has been posted on Twitter and Facebook . A tweet sharing the poster reads:Massive job opportunities at Brookside Dairies in Ruiru. Spread the word! The poster , also shared on Facebook here , claims the company has several vacancies for clerical officers, laboratory technicians, data analysts, cooks, drivers and more. Applicants, it says, must be a Kenyan citizens aged 18 and up. They must also have a certificate, diploma or degree from a recognised institution and be proficient in English and Kiswahili. But is this job ad legit? We checked. Website registered in China No jobs have been advertised either on Brookside Dairy’s official website or Facebook page . Africa Check ran the website’s URL – www.brookside.ci.ke – through the Whois domain search and found it was registered in Shanghai , China on 19 January 2018 . On 3 November 2021, Brookside posted the poster on its Facebook page, stamped FAKE. We wish to inform the public that this job recruitment notice is fake and did not originate from Brookside Dairy. Kindly disregard and share this widely, it said .
