A video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on YouTube alongside a claim it shows supporters of Philippine presidential frontrunner Ferdinand Marcos Jr storming a local broadcaster's headquarters after he declined their invitation for an interview in January 2022. This is misleading: as of February 14, 2022, there have been no official reports that his supporters stormed the broadcaster's building. M ost of the footage shows his earlier campaign rallies and one clip shows his supporters singing in a car. The video -- which includes several clips edited together -- was posted to YouTube here on January 24, 2022. It has been viewed more than 270,000 times. The video circulated online after Marcos Jr declined to be interviewed for Philippine broadcaster GMA News by veteran journalist Jessica Soho , accusing her of being biased. The programme -- broadcast on January 22 -- featured four other presidential rivals, including the main opposition candidate Leni Robredo. GMA News' headquarters is in Quezon City in the country's capital region of Metro Manila. The video's Tagalog-language caption translates to English as: OH NO JESSICA SOHO IS SHOCKED AFTER BBM SUPPORTERS STORMED GMA OMG. Screenshot of the misleading YouTube post. Taken February 6, 2022. The same video was also shared in blogs here and here alongside a similar claim. Comments from some social media users indicate they were misled by the video. Go, fellow BBM MARCOS supporters ATTACK GMA 7 AND JESSICA SOHO! one wrote. There are so many of them, if each of them pinches Jessica, she'll disappear, said another. However, as of February 14, there have been no official reports that Marcos Jr's supporters stormed GMA News' headquarters after he turned down the broadcaster's interview invite. There is no truth to the claim that Mr. Marcos' supporters stormed GMA after the airing of The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews, a spokesperson for GMA News told AFP. Reverse image and keyword searches also found none of the clips in the video show Marcos Jr supporters storming GMA News' offices. Motorcade footage The clip shown from the video's three-second to one-minute 59-second mark corresponds with footage seen in this report from Philippine broadcaster ABS-CBN. It was published on December 8, 2021. The report is about a motorcade rally on December 8 for Marcos Jr and his running mate Sara Duterte -- the daughter of current president Rodrigo Duterte. Caravan for Marcos-Duterte tandem in Quezon City swarmed by supporters, causing heavy traffic, the report's title reads. The report does not state Marcos Jr's supporters stormed the offices of GMA News. Below is a screenshot comparison of the video in the misleading posts (left) and the ABS-CBN report (right): The ABS-CBN report states the video was filmed on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City -- around 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from the GMA News headquarters. The location shown in the video corresponds to Google street imagery here of a portion of Commonwealth Avenue. Old rally clips A clip shown from the video's two-minute 52-second mark to its three-minute 23-second mark corresponds to a report published by the Manila Bulletin newspaper on December 6, 2021. The report states: Presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos joins supporters in a rally in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. Nueva Ecija province is located about 170 kilometers (105 miles) from the GMA News building. Below is a screenshot comparison of the video in the misleading post (left) and the Manila Bulletin video (right): The clips show Marcos Jr's supporters in front of a white building that corresponds with the San Jose City National High School in Nueva Ecija. The same location has been geotagged on Google Maps here . Campaign events Another clip of Marcos Jr interacting with his supporters corresponds with a Facebook video streamed live here on December 9, 2021. The account that streamed the video states it shows a campaign rally in Bacoor City in Cavite province -- 40 kilometers (24.85 miles) from GMA News' headquarters. The location corresponds to this Google Street View image of the NOMO mall in Bacoor. Below are screenshot comparisons of the video in the misleading post (left), the Facebook live video (centre), and the Google Street View of the mall (right): Screenshot comparison showing Marcos Jr Screenshot comparison showing Revilla Screenshot comparison showing Villar The remaining portion of the video shows four Marcos supporters singing a Marcos dictatorship-era propaganda song while travelling in a car. A Tagalog-speaking AFP journalist viewed the clips and did not find any reference to storming GMA News. AFP has previously debunked misleading posts about Marcos Jr's campaign rallies here and here .
