A graphic with two photos has been shared on Facebook with the claim it compares road traffic in Eldoret, Kenya with that of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. The first photo , marked Kenya, shows lines of cars moving along a wide boulevard. The second , marked Uganda, is a chaotic scene with crowds of people moving between a jumble of buses. The graphic is captioned : Kenyan traffic in Eldoret vs Ugandan traffic in Kampala. Lagos bus stop in 2006 But the first photo isn’t of Eldoret , a city in Kenya’s Rift Valley. It clearly shows the luxurious maize cob-shaped Nairobi Safari Club on University Way road, next the Anniversary Towers in the capital Nairobi. A reverse image search for the second photo reveals it was taken in Lagos, Nigeria – not Uganda – 13 years ago. We found it on Getty Images , a stock photo site. The caption reads: People walk struggling for space between public transport buses and trucks at the bustling Oshodi bus stop in Lagos 06 February 2006. The photo is credited to Pius Utomi for AFP. – Dancan Bwire
