  • An article on the World Scholarship Forum website claims that the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) will launch a recruitment drive across the country in January 2022. KWS recruitment date of selection in all counties will be Tuesday 26th January 2022, it reads . The selection process will begin at 8:00 am. The entire exercise will be conducted by KWS officers transparently in all counties FREE OF CHARGE. It says that KWS has internship offers available in several departments, including wildlife management, procurement, statistics, finance, human resource management and public relations. But the email address for applications – @kws.go.ke – is incomplete. A screenshot of the article is circulating on Facebook. Are these KWS job opportunities legit? ‘Please disregard’ We searched the career section on the KWS website and found no open vacancies. Applications for the most recent job advertised closed on 29 January 2021. On 15 November, KWS posted the screenshot – stamped FAKE – on its verified Twitter and Instagram accounts. This is to bring to the attention of the public that @kwskenya is not recruiting as claimed in messages doing rounds in social media platforms. Please disregard such claims. pic.twitter.com/URQK3nhKS4 — KWS (@kwskenya) November 15, 2021 This is to bring to the attention of the public that @kwskenya is not recruiting as claimed in messages doing rounds in social media platforms. Please disregard such claims, KWS wrote . (en)
