  • A Facebook post claims to offer jobs at the Crazy Store, a chain of novelty shops that operate in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. The post , published on 4 January 2020, says 106 shop assistant jobs are available at a salary of R5,000 or more a month. Bogus email address But the job offer is fake. One sign of this is that it tells people to email their CVs to a Gmail address . And there’s no sign of the 106 jobs on the careers section of the Crazy Store website. The jobs that are there ask people to send their applications to different email addresses, most from the server @crazystore.co.za. Job seekers can also apply directly on the website. Only advertises jobs on website On 7 January the Crazy Store posted a warning about fake job offers on its Facebook page. Scam artists are pretending to offer jobs at The Crazy Store and asking for money to validate the application, it reads . Please be aware that these posts are NOT from The Crazy Team. We only advertise positions at www.crazystores.co.za . The Crazy Store warns people not to pay any money when they apply for jobs. And they don’t advertise jobs on Facebook. – Butchie Seroto (en)
