  • Example: [Collected via e-mail, March 2015] A friend posted this to Facebook and said it was a question on Trivia Crack. Is it real? Origins: On 12 March 2015, an image showing a racist question purportedly used by the mobile Trivia Crack game started to circulate via Twitter. Many people accused Etermax, the company that makes the trivia game, of approving a racist question, but that does not appear to the be the case. Etermax encourages users to submit questions for possible inclusion in the game. Those questions then go through a user rating process to determine which questions will be adopted. While the racist question at issue (What is the African American's biggest flaw?) was submitted by a user, it was never approved for official game play. After the photograph of the question and its putative multiple choice answers went viral, Trivia Crack took to Twitter to explain the situation:@rustymk2 We'd like to apologize for the offensive content. The question and creator of the question were removed immediately from the game.— Trivia Crack (@triviacrack) March 13, 2015@NigerianPride_ We really appreciate your feedback. It's invaluable to the game and we urge everyone to report any offensive content.— Trivia Crack (@triviacrack) March 13, 2015@garvin_sr That image is from the user rating process. I can assure you it was NEVER approved into the actual game.— Trivia Crack (@triviacrack) March 13, 2015 (en)
