Verdict: False The video, which was taken in March 2020, shows children in Jordan staging a fake funeral to skirt COVID-19 restrictions. Through a reverse image search of key frames, Check your Fact found the video in a March 2020 article published by Al Roeya , a United Arab Emirates media outlet, bearing the headline: In the video, a fake funeral to break the ban in Jordan ... and the police whistle returns the ‘dead’ to his home. The video was also shared by Jordanian news outlet Roya News’ verified Facebook page in March 2020, with the caption, Fake funeral! People still breaching the law despite the warnings. Jordan implemented a strict, all-day curfew on March 21, 2020, prohibiting people from leaving their homes except in case of emergency, as a way to combat the spread of COVID-19, Al Jazeera reported . Restrictions have since been eased, and as of May 13, the curfew for individuals goes from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the U.S. Embassy in Jordan .
