Amid Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis, social media users shared a screen grab from a video message Trump tweeted from Walter Reed on Oct. 3 with a quote he allegedly said. The full quote reads, The doctors said they’ve never seen a body kill the Coronavirus like my body. They tested my DNA and it wasn’t DNA. It was USA. There is no evidence Trump made the statement. Check Your Fact reviewed the entire video message and found no instances of Trump referencing his DNA in such a manner. A search of the president’s social media accounts and Factbase , an online database that collects Trump’s public statements, also turned up no matching statements. In Trump’s video message , he thanked the medical staff at Walter Reed, as well as world leaders and other people that wished him well.
