A video has been shared on Facebook with the claim it shows a warthog on the loose, attacking people at a petrol station in Ongata Rongai, a town outside Kenya’s capital of Nairobi. Before complaining of locust think of Rongai, after lions now is warthog, video’s caption reads . In December 2019 a man was reportedly mauled by a lion near Ongata Rongai. And Kenya’s food crops are currently threatened by armies of desert locusts . Wild pig rampage in northern India The video was posted on 14 January 2020. But a week before, Africa Check spotted it in reports of a wild pig going on a rampage in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh, where it injured several people. On 5 January, China Global Television Network was the first to post the video of the pig’s attack. A wild pig went on a rampage in northern India on 30 December, injuring several people, CGTN says in the caption. Security camera footage captured the moment the animal entered the forecourt of a petrol station in Sultanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The date stamp on the security video shows it was taken on 30 December 2019 at 8.45 in the morning. At the beginning of the video, CGTN identifies the location as Sultanpur, India.
