Protests turned violent during a May 2020 demonstration regarding Floyd’s death, prompting a curfew to be enacted for the Central Business District, according to Cleveland NBC affiliate WKYC . There are no credible news reports suggesting that any protests of such a magnitude have occurred recently in any West Coast city. This is not the first time footage or images of protests from the has been used to push false claims online.
