On 29 March 2016, the entertainment web site United Media Publishing published an article reporting that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and actress Olivia Munn had attended a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in Appleton, Wisconsin: However, this article was nothing more than a work of fiction from United Media Publishing fake news site. Although the United Media Publishing web site does not carry a readily available disclaimer identifying its content as fiction, the site has a track record of publishing fake news stories, such as an article about Christians divorcing after the legalization of gay marriage, a dubious diatribe about Pope Francis' plan to sterilize unwed mother in order to end climate change, and a fake news story about a hedge fund manager winning the $1.6 billion Powerball.
