In early April 2020 the Kenyan government imposed a ban on movement in and out of four hotspots of Covid-19 infection, to help slow the spread of the coronavirus disease . But will every Kenyan be given KSh100,000 during this lockdown? And did Citizen TV broadcast the news? Screenshot text manipulated In the three-week lockdown, movement from the counties of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale is restricted . There is also a nationwide daily curfew from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am. But there has been no announcement of a payout. Africa Check did a reverse image search of the image and found the original on the official Facebook page of Bahari FM , a radio station run by Royal Media Services , which also owns Citizen TV. The image , posted on 23 March, shows a press conference on coronavirus by health minister Mutahi Kagwe that was aired live on the channel. The original text reads: CORONAVIRUS IN KENYA. – Dancan Bwire (en)
