  • A post on Facebook in Kenya claims that the African Medical and Research Foundation , a network of flying doctors, is hiring sales interns. Amref Flying Doctors is looking for committed, deadline-driven sales interns to join our excellent sales team, it says. Interested candidates are encouraged to click on a link in the post to get more information. The post gives a deadline of 11 March 2020. But the job offer has been flagged as possibly false by Facebook’s fact-checking system. Is Amref Flying Doctors hiring? We checked. Posts advertised by Amref Flying Doctors directly The link in the Facebook post leads to the official Amref website . Here a full job description for the position is published. On 7 March, Amref Flying Doctors also posted the same job advert that appeared on Facebook on their official Twitter page . The organisation says it’s aware of previous fake job ads. It has this disclaimer on its careers page : Amref Flying Doctors wishes to state that ALL its jobs are advertised on this website at, www.flydoc.org, www.amref.org and the national dailies where applicable. Duly note that Amref Flying Doctors does not require applicants to pay any fee at whatever stage of the recruitment and selection process. Amref Flying Doctors therefore advises the general public to exercise due diligence when applying for employment.
