  • The Facebook page Coca cola company jobs has published several posts claiming it can get people jobs at Coca-Cola in Kenya. The page was created on 3 July 2020 and posts photos of genuine Coca-Cola products along with job ads that look more dubious. One post from 24 July claims that the company is urgently recruiting 9400 workers in Kenya who will earn a daily wage of KSh 850 per day. The post says there are jobs for store keepers, receptionists, machine operators, accountants, merchandisers and fleet mechanics. It then tells applicants to send a direct message to the Facebook page to find out more. This is an unusual way of hiring and a red flag that the page is a scam. Coca-Cola Kenya not hiring Africa Check asked Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Kenya whether the posts were genuine job adverts or part of a scam. Coca-Cola said: As highlighted in an earlier post it came to our attention that the mentioned Job Advertisement is being used to lure people to Casual Job Openings with us. Please note that this is FAKE. Beware of such scammers. For more details on how to spot scams on Facebook, read our guide . – Grace Gichuhi (en)
