An image shared on Facebook purportedly shows photographic evidence that a man pictured inside the U.S. Capitol is a member of antifa. Verdict: False While the photos show similar-looking bearded men, they are not evidence the bearded man pictured in the Capitol is part of antifa. The man pictured on the PhillyAntifa.org website was identified by the website as a member of a neo-Nazi group, not antifa. Fact Check: On Wednesday, rioters breached the U.S. Capitol following a pro-Trump rally against the presidential election results, CNN reported. Some social media users have attempted to suggest that the Trump supporters photographed inside the Capitol building are actually members of antifa. This particular Facebook post shows a screen grab of a Parlor post from pro-Trump attorney L. Lin Wood. The Parler post juxtaposes two photos: one of a bearded man that was tweeted by Huffington Post politics reporter Igor Bobic from inside the Capitol and one showing a similar-looking man that supposedly comes from the website PhillyAntifa.org. Indisputable photographic evidence that antifa violently broke into Congress today to inflict harm & do damage. NOT @Name Hidden supporters, reads Wood’s Parler post in part. Do not be fooled. (RELATED: Viral Image Claims A Facial Recognition Firm Identified Members Of Antifa At The US Capitol) While the photo on the right does appear on the PhillyAntifa.org website, it does not constitute photographic evidence of antifa members in the Capitol. The PhillyAntifa.org website included the picture of the similar-looking bearded man in a post that calls him a longtime neo-Nazi. Check Your Fact has not identified the man that was pictured in the Capitol. The man pictured in the Capitol during the riot can also be seen in an AFP photo , where the tattoo on his right hand is visible. That tattoo on his right hand does not appear to match the one on the right hand of the man discussed in the PhillyAntifa.org post . In the photo on the left in the Parler post, a man wearing a horned fur hat can also be seen. Check Your Fact previously debunked the claim that Jake Angeli, the shirtless man pictured wearing that hat and face paint in the Capitol breach, is part of antifa. Angeli is a known QAnon supporter who The Arizona Republic described as a fixture at Arizona right-wing political rallies over the past year. Four people, including one woman who was shot by police and three people who suffered apparent medical emergencies, died during the storming of the Capitol, according to CNN . On Thursday, a Capitol police officer also died from injuries sustained while physically engaging with protesters, according to NBC News .
