Origins: I'm still guessing about this one, but it's a cute story nonetheless: A man of wide acquaintance, Nick the Greek Dandolos once had occasion to escort the great physicist Albert Einstein around Las Vegas. Einstein was a member of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton at the time.Nick wanted his visiting genius to be treated with respect, but he was mindful that certain members of his own gambling circle might not be thoroughly conversant with the world of science.
