A video shared on Facebook allegedly shows former President Joe Biden wearing a Mao suit during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Verdict: False This video is from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit , not during a meeting with Jinping. The outfit in the video is also not Chinese in origin. Fact Check: Biden and Jinping met in Indonesia Nov. 14 for three hours in their first face-to-face talk since Biden became president, NPR reported. The president was candid that he and Jinping did not see eye-to-eye on many issues, but said that he doesn’t believe there’s reason for concern over a Cold War with China, CNN reported. The Facebook post claims Biden wore a Mao suit, a formal Chinese military wear associated with Former Chinese President Mao Zedong, to meet with Jinping. The video features Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wearing outfits with high collars and buttons down the middle. Biden wearing a Mao suit to meet with Xi Jinping will be played in every WWIII documentary one day! the post’s caption reads. The video was not taken during any meeting with Jinping. The footage was captured at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit hosted in Cambodia Nov. 12. His attire was not a Mao suit, but traditional Cambodian attire. Biden can be seen wearing a business suit to meet Jinping in an article from Fox News .
