A report on HinNews.com, a Trends Daily website, says this time Ekstein walked out angrily on Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung and Motaung’s father Kaizer Motaung, the chairman of Chiefs, as he spit fire revealing signing contract with Pirates. Orlando Pirates is a rival club. The story was posted on Facebook. It was published on 20 February 2019. As at 27 February, Ekstein remained listed as a senior Chiefs player. Entirely made up news and sports Both Trends Daily and HinNews post hoax sports and news stories. Africa Check has already debunked a few . The stories are shared on the Latest Football News and Latest News South Africa Facebook pages. Both carry the Trends Daily logo, and each has more than 300,000 followers. The pages’ recent stories were all published by HinNews . These numerous short articles either reproduce social media content or are just entirely made up . The website seems almost exclusively focused on writing hoax sports stories and republishing other hoax news from Trends Daily . HinNews does not have an About page, but does say it is the property of Trends Daily. The Trends Daily About page describes the site as one of the leading source providing comprehensive up-to-date News & Entertainment for the Connected Generation.
