  • A video circulating online purports to show a passenger on board the Sriwijaya Air plane that plunged into the sea off Indonesia's capital Jakarta on January 9, 2021. The claim is false; the footage was actually taken from a plane crash off the coast of Hawaii in 2013. The video was published here on Facebook on January 10, 2021. However, the claim is false. A reverse image search on Google for a screenshot of the footage found this video in a report about a plane that crashed off the coast of Hawaii on December 11, 2013.
