A video shared on Facebook allegedly shows an Iranian father mourning his dead daughter with a dance after she was killed by police. Verdict: False This video was not taken in Iran. It is from an Azerbaijani television show. Fact Check: Protests erupted in Iran two weeks ago after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, according to The Washington Post . Approximately 185 people, including children, have been killed in the demonstrations calling for the ousting of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Reuters reported. The Facebook video appears to show a man dancing during a small gathering. Iranian father who promised to live long enough to dance at his daughter’s wedding ends up dancing at her funeral after she was killed by the Iranian morality police for not covering her hair, the post’s caption reads. The video is not from the current Iranian protests. A reverse image search found that the video is from an Azerbaijani television show called Ata Ocagi. The episode from where the clip originated is available on YouTube and was posted in January 2018 .
